| Here are pictures of my 1965 Commander Wagonaire and my 1948 M-5 pickup (1/2 ton). The truck isn't finished yet, but I have been working on it for 3 years. It is painted in Ruby Glow Red. The engine is the original 170 cu in Champ, though it has been completely rebuilt. The Wagonaire is also restored, thanks to the work of Mark Keilen. It is finished in Executive Blue. Mark also did the body work and paint on the truck. The wagon, along with Dennis Jolicoeur's Hawk and some other cars, was covered in Special Interest Autos in October, 2000 and has also been featured in catalog advertising for McGregor clothing. The Wagonaire is a Chevybaker 283, but the recent rebuild included a rebore that made it a 289, just like a "real" Studebaker. |
